Child’s Play Works

When your work is Child’s Play you deserve a LOT of support. This site was created in May 2009 to support YOU – the in-home Childcare Provider.  Whether you’re looking for Preschool Curriculum, Toddler and Infant ideas, activities for School-Agers or tools you can use in your business, this site is created to connect you with the ideas, tools and resources that you can use in your business today.

And that’s not all… because you spend so much of your time providing care to others, we intend to find ways to take care of you and support you in taking care of yourself.

Hi, Mary K Weinhagen here. Welcome to Child’s Play Works! As an Early Childhood Specialist I owned and operated my own in-home Licensed Childcare in Minnesota for 25 years. With a degree in Child Psychology I also worked as a trainer for other Daycare Providers seeking continuing education hours. In addition I spent a year as a Program Adviser with Adults and Children’s Alliance where I visited Providers in their home, educating and evaluating for the  Food Program sponsored by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture.

I share this with you so that you know that as well as raising my three sons as a single Mom, I’ve been in the trenches. I know the ups as well as the downs that come along with opening your home up to a business. A business that puts you in the uniquely intimate position of helping others raise their children. A business I loved and continue to love.

I hold you in the highest esteem. I admire how you spend your days touching the lives of young children. Let me know how I can best support you and know I’ll be happy to do what I can.
